Hi Lee,
I trust all is well for you.
I got done with my big ride last night. 4 days, 630 km and 8000 meters elevation gain through Oregon on mostly gravel roads and single trails. Legs have been in great shape, thank you for all the great training! What I underestimated is what it mentally takes to ride in such remote areas…
Taking a rest now and will think about next adventures.
Talk soon,
Martin
Martin first emailed me regarding my coaching services in the middle of 2022 or so, looking not for 1-2-1 coaching but to chat about purchasing my 12 Week Everesting Plan. So we chatted, I added the 12 weeks of training to his TrainingPeaks account, and off he pedalled. His gains were going well and all looked good until he got Covid! Then in October when he was just about to try again, he was called to donate some stem cells to a patient with cancer – amazing bloke eh! It also meant another postponement to the Everesting attempt.
A few months later he got in touch about my Power Up Plan, which is designed to just as it says – get a rider’s FTP up. Again, Martin’s commitment and consistency meant that goal was achieved.
Most recently, Martin told me that he was doing a 4-day multi stage endurance ride with friends out in Oregon, and asked if I had a pre-written plan that might fit with this event?
Well, no, I thought… so decided to write a 12 week plan designed for people doing multi-day endurance rides – lucky Martin! But then luck for me too, because it was time I wrote something like that, with all my experience in getting ready for stage races around Asia and further afield.
And as before, Martin stuck to the task, the gains kept a-coming, and then just a few days ago he sent me the message you read at the start of this post.
He was also kind enough to write a testimonial:
I have been training with Lee for the last 2 years and love it. The training plans have always been designed to get me perfectly ready for my events but also structured in a way to keep it interesting and me motivated.

Given my limitations on time I did the training plan without personal feedback, but even without that my FTP went up again getting closer again to where I was before kids. I am sure I could have gotten even more out of it with his feedback but Lee also checked in occasionally via Training Peaks keeping me engaged.

After another 12-week training session I just finished a bike packing trip going through Oregon from north to south along the Cascades and my legs have been in excellent shape!
Looking forward to keeping pushing with Lee’s training plans.
Thanks Martin!
