Nutcase Does Rapha 500 In One Go… Around A McDonald’s

read

I write ‘nutcase’ in the most respectful way...

Inspiring? Unsure.

Mad? yes.

Fair play though, this must have hurt like heck.

Definitely the craziest Rapha 500… ever.

Matthew Fairbrother redefined the Festive Rapha 500. Rather than riding across open roads, the New Zealander completed all 500 km inside a single McDonalds drive-thru lane (it was closed for Christmas).

Over 30 hours, he rode around the ‘restaurant’ more than 2,600 times, turning a familiar – and usually not that tough – challenge into a almost delirious exercise in repetition and focus.

Six hours constantly on the bike for me is good, seven is pushing it, and I really do respect this effort – I just hope he gets something off of Waccy D’s for this effort – his IG post is heading to over 15,000 likes.

Travel Ease got a plug too!

Hats off to you sir!
