I’m immensely fortunate to be one of the organisers for the Taiwan KOM challenge, which, if you don’t know, is an 85km climb rising from 0m to 3275, running from Hualien to the top of Hehuan Shan (aka Wuling Pass).

I work as the International Communications Manager, and it’s my job to contact and bring over to Taiwan the world’s leading cycling media and pro riders, who have included Emma Pooley, Nicole Cooke, Phil Gaimon, Cadel Evans, Vincenzo Nibali and the then CCC-LIV team which included Marianne Vos and Ashleigh Moolman Pasio.

It’s a great job and a lot of fun too!

In this featured video from 2019, the guys from PJAMMCycling.com came over to film the route, and they did a brilliant job of it too!

We know that many of you are waiting for the borders here to open up, but in the meantime you can whet your appetite by checking out this film.
