He’s fast, he’s annoying, he’s the greatest sprinter of all time he has one last shot at this year’s Tour.

It’s just a matter of time before pro bike racers stop shaving their legs.

I really think you are way off the mark here. Yes, this year’s race tilted to slightly sprinters and was not as good as previous years because of the route reverting to the pre-2008 route due to road closures, however having a stage in which a GC rider like Nibali can give it a red hot go is great. Milan-San Remo has been a highlight in previous few years, IMHO. The “piddling little climbs” are normally incredibly well balanced to create a suspenseful finish, and with Pompeiana added and Le Mànie back in next year, I hopefully look forward to an even better-balanced suspenseful finish.

Gotta agree with Tim, I just love it and partly because it’s a little bit different to anything else. I mean, it’s not as though us spectators have to sit and watch the first 5 hrs (let alone in the rain/snow whatever…). Just to see Cav and Sagan totally unable to sprint in their normal way, with the finish just a couple of hundred meters up the road, tells me everything about what a brute of a race this is… a true Monument in my view. Leave it alone.
