Yes, it took ages for this to happen and many people were waiting patiently (and impatiently – you should see my inbox!), but the registration for one of the greatest hill climbs in the world is indeed open for victims participants now.

If you do not know the Taiwan KOM, where have you been? GCN featured it on their channel (see below), Vincenzo Nibali has the record time with an astonishing 3:19:54 (this is 85km of UP, from 0m to 3275m), Cadel Evans was ‘ere, as was Jai Hindley, Emma Pooley, Marianne Vos and Nicole Cooke.

The race has gone from a very local event over a decade ago to be one of the big bucket list rides for people the world over. I’ve been working on this race for 13 years ( we never missed a year, not even through CoVid), and I love it.

The route is simply astonishing.
