If you’ve been wondering what to do with that spare $20,000 you have lying around and it’s earmarked for a new (ish) bike (you’re likely divorced, right?)… well, great news!
You can now bid on the actual Colnago Y1Rs that Tadej Pogačar rode up Mont Ventoux at the Tour de France, just head to Sotheby’s auction site.

Yes, the bike.
Which, yeah it’s kinda cool I guess.
This isn’t just a bike — it’s his bike. A raw-finish missile that Pogačar used from Stage 16 onward, including during his Tour de France win, the World Championship, the European Championship, and Il Lombardia.
All those races on one actual bike? I thought he got a new one every day?

Sotheby’s had this to blurb:
“On 22 July 2025, Tadej Pogacar lined up for the 16th stage of the Tour de France in Montpellier, wearing the yellow jersey and riding a bicycle that immediately captured the attention of the cycling world. For the hill-climb time trial to Peyragudes a few days earlier, he had used a Colnago Y1Rs in a raw black-and-white livery, without the UCI colors, marking the first public appearance of this custom machine.
“Taking advantage of the rest day, the bike was finalised with the signature World Champion accents — red, green, yellow, and blue — creating the Stripped Black edition known today, which made its official debut in the 16th stage, set to face the iconic Ventoux climb.
“The frame’s exposed carbon finish and meticulous detailing reflect both extreme performance engineering and aesthetic refinement, designed to complement the abilities of the reigning world champion and support his campaign for overall Tour de France victory.”

I hope that someone who actually rides wins this bid and then takes it out on the Sunday Gruppo.
I would pay to see that…
The auction closes Dec 5th.
Merry Expensive Xmas.
