I first met Paolo at the Mongolia Bike Challenge almost a decade ago now, and we’ve been meeting up there just about every year since to both work at the event. Paolo is the ‘eyes’ of the event, documenting the riders’ journeys and also the incredible landscapes that we traverse along the route. You can see his images from the 2023 MBC here.

Paolo is a full-time photographer and highly regarded in the field.

In my capacity the Comms Manager of the Taiwan KOM, I’ve also invited him out to the event here, most recently this last October. We finally got a chance to cycle together too, as he joined my 8-day Taiwan KOM tour, cycling from Taipei down to Hualien over a week. And then at the KOM event itself, he worked his magic, as he always does.
