Phew! That was a trip and a half, then doubled again. I managed to raise $2360AU for Movember, and here’s the story of my last 100km a day ride for the charity.
Please like and subscribe to my channel, that would be awesome, and hope you enjoy the video.
Below is the text accompanying the video.
Finally, my challenge to ride my bicycle 100km a day for 30 days around Taipei to raise money for Movember is DONE! What a trip, and never again! Physically, it wasn’t bad, mentally, that was a different story. But I got through it, determination and willpower and knowing that I was doing this cycling challenge for charity really made the difference.
Thank you to all the people who’ve supported me by liking, subscribing and commenting on this series of videos, thank you to the friends who joined me for rides during the challenge, and thank you also to GS Astuto for the awesome Berd Spokes wheels. Thanks to for the support by the Movember crew! Thanks too to the guys at Bogart’s Smokehouse in Taipei, what a final meal, and what indigestion I had to deal with on the final 35km… 😉 I recommend for any cyclists out there to take up a similar challenge, whether it be 30KM every day for 7 days or 50km, the experience was really fulfilling and it re-connected me to the bike as I’d hoped it would. Also, of anyone would like a tour of Taipei’s bike paths, after 3,000km, I’m your guy!
Good job, mate. What’s next?
