Cadel is as tough as they come for sure and I think his results would have been better if he had had more support in his years at lotto.

But come on cranky, what of the debacle on the top of Selvio. Clearly changed the course of the race. In my view – a statement of the organiser over race radio is as mandatory as any rule of cycling. It has to be that way. So quintana passing a red flag on a bike – is a breach of a rule – it may not deserve a sanction, but neither should it be rewarded. Times should be adjusted from the arrival at Selvio to the arrival at valley floor. There was plenty of opportunity to get the message through later.

As Tinkov remarked, Cycling has a habit of making itself look like an unprofessional mess, that no sensible sponsor would want to be associated with – take the bus at the last TdF – or plenty of other issues, like a leader (hoogerland?) being vaulted into barbed wire by a support car.

PS – have you taken a look at Hincapies book, just released to all and sundry? – Am waiting for Nicole Cookes at end july, although the lack of a picture of it on amazon, makes me wonder whether it will come: if it does, it would be a really good excuse for you to get an interview with the lady herself!

Good day! I could have sworn I’ve visited this site before but after going through many of the articles I realized it’s new to me. Nonetheless, I’m definitely happy I discovered it and I’ll be book-marking it and checking back regularly!|
