Absolutely spot on. Lampre are a disgrace.

I agree with you 100% but lets hope that perhaps, just maybe, the anti-doping authorities ARE looking into the situation. Seems sort of an old-boy network deal when the rider in question takes on a (sort of, since he wasn’t registered as such) new, Australian agent, shortly after Lampre puts a fellow Aussie in charge of the team, then suddenly gets a spot on the team?

There are lots of reasons for not sending Horner an AAF. ( a positive)

      1. A well-done EPO regimen is not a postive that the federation can easily defend. It’s a complicated test and the rules are heavily biased against false positives anyway.
      2. Based on Parisotto’s comments, it appears they don’t have statistical analysis for grand tour doping such that the APMU would flag the results. These would be different models than the longitudinal models they claim to have.
      3. It would be more doping controversy for ASO and cycling. Both of those parties have histories of supressing doping activity rather than protect the idea the sporting event has some integrity. The UCI has supressed many positives at this point in history.

Wondered when you’d finally comment on Miracle Man Horner. Wasn’t sure what to make of his recent astonishing Grand Tour performance until I saw him being interviewed. When asked about doping, his response disgusted me – he completely sidestepped the question and instead had the audacity to imply that we, the fans, should be grateful that we had been given the chance to enjoy his amazing feats. Reminded me of LA in Paris at the end of one of his Tour ‘wins’ when he said he felt sorry for all those who didn’t believe. I would have preferred to have Horner refuse to answer doping questions altogether than treat us like fools.

Here’s the interview – it’s not quite how I remembered it, but his words still astound and agitate me. He has so much love for the sport, and his friends in the sport….
