As you may or may not know, I am the founder of a cycling tour company called Taiwan KOM Tours<\/a>, and we are specialists in tours here in Taiwan, and specifically in designing tours centring on the Taiwan KOM Challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KOM Challenge was originally a once a year (October) event and it started to become popular internationally around 2016, and became a ‘bucket-list’ around then, and even more so after GCN first came out here. I know all about this side of things: I was responsible for inviting GCN out here in the first place, as part of my role as Comms Director for the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KOM October event became so popular that we then decided to also hold events on the exact same route, but with a longer cut-off time (9 hrs compared to 6.5), so that more people could experience the fantastic beauty and epic journey up the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just before Covid hit, I set up the Taiwan KOM Tours<\/a> company, and we just had our very first full KOM tour last October, when we had 12 clients come out to take part. We had a great time, everyone stayed safe and rather wonderfully, everyone successfully completed the KOM! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so, this year we will have three KOM tours: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  3. Taiwan KOM Challenge Tour<\/strong> \/ 8 days<\/strong> \/ October 19th – 26th<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
