{"id":12728,"date":"2022-04-19T09:57:34","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T01:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atomic-temporary-41528274.wpcomstaging.com\/?p=12728"},"modified":"2022-04-19T11:10:18","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T11:10:18","slug":"shimano-105-di2-groupset-arriving-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crankpunk.com\/ja\/2022\/04\/19\/shimano-105-di2-groupset-arriving-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"SHIMANO 105 Di2 GROUPSET ARRIVING IN JUNE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About time too! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many cyclists, bike shops and bicycle manufacturers (and probably Shimano stockholders) have been waiting for about three years for Shimano to launch its 105 groupset in an electronic version, and it looks like it is coming soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently Shimano discontinued its mechanical and extremely popular Ultegra groupset. Industry insiders acknowledge that mechanical group sets have advantages over their electronic counterparts, namely weight, serviceability and with regards to chain jump (evidence of which was on show at Paris-Roubaix recently), but it comes down to economics, as fewer and fewer people are choosing mechanical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Electronic, it seems, it king.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sram, Shimano\u2019s main rival in terms of bicycle components, launched its 2nd and 3rd tier electronic group sets last year, with the Rival AXS group being very popular.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quite what has held up Shimano is is unknown but global supply chain issues were most likely the main issue.
