These photo’s were taken in the Vel d’Hiv in Paris a couple of years before it was no more. This velodrome was filled with history – and not all pleasant, The place really is worth an article in its own right – there is plenty of detail available on the net re its history. The excellent film “Sarah’s Key” touches on it’s darkest hour, and is well worth a watch….
